Shannon Copper is following in his fathers footsteps. Shannon spent a few hours with the family on Shogun and caught his first game fish during a recent holiday. His dad Allan is a mad keen angler and has done the Epi 7 day trip in the past. I’m looking forward to seeing more action from these two in the future.

Want to get away from it all? That is what a group of New Zealand Fishing News readers did recently, catching an Air Vanuatu fight to Port Vila, then boarding three game boats for a further day’s travel north to the island of Epi.
The occasion was the third readers trip, hosted by New Zealand Fishing News as part of the magazine’s ’30 Years of Publication’ celebrations, and largely organised by Leanne and Peter Phillipps of Wild Blue Fishing Charters in Vanuatu.
